Dürer Kert: Nobody Moves & Friends

If you didn’t understand a single word in this title, it’s fine. Let the introduction itself put the pieces together: last Friday, we visited Dürer Kert, an event venue close to the city park, where a dance party organized by Nobody Moves, a project by two Hungarian DJs, was taking place. And here’s our Party Diary series report on it, hold on.

Dürer Kert: excuse me, which kert?

For the ones who haven’t even heard of this venue, it can be a true discovery. A huge place, bohemian corridors leading to the main stage where we, after having arrived a bit late, found some thousands (? well, let’s just say A LOT OF) young people jumping to the industrial beats being blasted. Observation of the evening – “look, the drinks aren’t even that expensive!” Fine, you might want to take a taxi to reach the place if you’re going there rather late yet otherwise public transport can do that for you. Evaluation: great!
Nobody Moves: nobody whaaaaaat?

The irony of the stage name chosen here couldn’t be greater, of course. When the guys were playing, you had to be careful not to be hit by an ocean of arms raised all up and not to be pushed by a people jumping all happily. “Now that’sa party!”, we couldn’t stop from thinking. And dancing. And enjoying ourselves. Nobody Moves is, essentially, a project by two Hungarian DJs, Andro and Pixa. Pixa, to be honest, was a novelty for us – and a very positive one! – but Andro we have already seen some months ago at our first event covered by the Party Diary series. He was also one of the biggest (the biggest?) Hungarian DJ at the Bonusz electronic music festival in Budapest that takes place in October. So, we knew it would be a promising event.

Now what?

Check out what’s happening at Dürer Kert, check out Andro’s/Pixa’s projects to make sure not to miss an awesome event next time. It’s a great feeling: coming back home all exhausted yet charged with positive energy from people simply enjoying music, dancing in their own ways, and exploring what Budapest has to offer.

Here's an aftermovie to get the feeling:
