Gazmend
It was me who had to explain this woman that her son was judged and found guilty of treason and will be executed in one hour. We are still clandestine and our security measures are exhaustive, but this woman managed to get here. Somehow, I let her. Nobody knows she’s here, anyway.
It’s difficult, of course, because her son was a great militant. But he clashed against the Central Command and has to pay. She understands that, but believes that proof was faked. She’s not wrong.
I can’t give her any support, my rank forbids me. I gave her a tea with a sedative: she will wake up in a few hours and by then I’ll have her far away. I know that this way I saved her life.
Now I will go down to check the guns with which, in just one hour, my brother will be shot.
