Surviving CEU

You may need these simple guidelines, when things get tough and start going not as you planned!

4 things to keep your body alive

1. Remember to eat. Healthy. If you are not a great cook, these basic ideas might be helpful: scrambled eggs, noodles, pancakes, baked/mashed potatoes or simply toasts will fill you and enrich with calories.
2. What is a periodic state of physiological rest during which consciousness is suspended and metabolic rate is decreased? Of course, it’s sleep. Make sure you have some. Preferably every night.
3. Don’t drink so much alcohol that you can’t concentrate the next day. Water is a good drink though. Keep your water bottle always with you.
4. Everybody needs some rest. You cannot bear the weight of the entire world on your shoulders. Find the best way for relaxation.

4 things to keep your intellect alive
1. Don’t forget to study. University + no study = debt + no degree. And we all know it’s not what you want.
2. Sit at the front on classes. This may sound like a rubbish idea, but it’s statistically proven that the grades of those at the front of the class are 11% higher than of those at the back.
3. Hang out with clever friends. Being the smartest one in the room can feel good for a while, but having people around who challenge and support you is more productive.
4. Remember knowledge comes from outside the classroom as well.

4 things to keep your emotions alive
1. Be yourself. Pretending to be someone else is exhausting. If your friends can’t accept who you are they really aren’t very good friends.
2. Appreciate the friends you make. All relationships take effort. If you don’t make time for your friends you won’t keep them.
3. Take time for yourself. Nobody else can tell you who you want to be; you need time to ask yourself if that’s who you are becoming.
4. Remember, we all screw up; you have to let things go. Don’t concentrate on your failures too much.
