CEU students at the frontline of in-Campus sustainable development

An enthusiastic groups of students –known as CEU sustainable- took one step further in their commitment towards a greener, cleaner and more sustainable world, in this case concentrating their efforts in their own home: CEU campus. CEU sustainable –and all the individuals that form part of it- managed to organize a successful Earth Day on April 22, which not only worked to fill the stomachs of many students with tasty organic-made products, but that also raised awareness about sustainability in our community.

Furthermore, students were able to engage with other stakeholders –including CEU authorities- and to contribute in the design and implementation of environmentally-friendly policies in the Democratic Republic of CEU! Thanks to this joint effort, the CEU community has now the possibility –and moral duty- of using different recycling bins. Amazing ah? You do not necessarily need to bring together China and the US in order to act consciously and take care of the environment: you can actually begin with small actions that can indeed have great impact, as is the case of having a complete campus that recycles its waste.

The CEU Weekly wishes success and the best of lucks to this initiative; we hope to see CEU sustainable bringing more innovative ideas and projects!
